Außerdem bastele ich an einem neuen Blog. Da ich den Blog weiterhin überwiegend zweisprachig machen werde, leidet so langsam die Übersichtlichkeit. Deshalb gibt es demnächst meine Werke in einem Blog mit übersichtlicherer Struktur.

I have far too many projects on my needles now, still I managed to finish Hint 2 of the SotS. I am curious to see the pattern of the next hint.

I am working on a new blog with a better structure, because this one isn't really appropriate for bilingual blogging. So you will find things you want to read more easily in the new one.

Gestern hat Astrid mir ein wunderbares Heidschnuckenfell geschenkt, das MUSS ich einfach zeigen:

Wenn man die Haare beiseite schiebt, so wie auf der linken Seite, wird das Fell plötzlich silbergrau. Wenn alle Haare ordentlich liegen ist es einfach nur dunkelbraun. Ein ganz besonderes Fell.

Und das habe ich heute morgen superbillig vom Flohmarkt erbeutet: 400 g schwarze Seide mit Acryl und 750 g superweiche Alpakawolle.

 Yesterday a friend gave me this wonderful sheepskin rug. The breed is called Heidschnucke, and if you move the dark brown hair aside you get the silvergrey colour  that you can see on the left. And I got some more wool on the fleamarket this morning, 400 g black silk-acrylic-mix and 750 g pure soft alpaca.

Heute war wieder ein nettes Spinntreffen bei mir. Es war wieder sehr schön.

Das ist gefärbte Wolle, hauptsächlich Gotlandwolle, auf einem Handwerkermarkt in Schweden im letzten Sommer.

I just have to show this photo: Dyed wool, mainly Gotlandsheep wool, on a countryfair in Sweden last summer.

Ich konnte es nicht lassen und habe mir bei Katja die Jojoland Harmonywolle bestellt . Undendlich feine Wolle, zweifädig 800 m Lauflänge auf 50 g und schön weich. Auf dem Foto stecken zum Größenvergleich 2,5 mm Addi Lacenadeln drin:

I ordered some 2-ply Jojoland Harmony wool from Katja. The wool ist superthin, 50 grams have a length of 800 m. The needles inside the ball are 2.5 mm size, so you can imagine how thin this wool is.

Ich habe letzthin den ersten Strang reine Seide fertiggesponnen.

Fast 100 g, die Lauflänge ist ca. 380 m auf 100 g. Demnächst kommt irgendwann der zweite Strang dran, aber das wird wohl eher Sommerwolle, hat also noch Zeit.

I finshed spinning a skein of pure silk lately, 2 ply and 100 grams are about 380 metres long. I got another 100 grams, but it will take time to spin them, because this is rather a summer wool.
